Stéphane Castonguay

The Chairholder of the Canada Research Chair in the Environmental History of Québec is Stéphane Castonguay. Professor in the Department of Human Sciences at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières since 2001, Stéphane Castonguay received his doctorate in the History of Science at the Université du Québec à Montréal in December 1998. During the next three years, he completed post-doctoral research in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Cornell University and at the Centre Alexandre Koyré at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. He earned fellowships from the ministère de l'Éducation et de la Recherche (France), from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Counsel of Canada, and the Eco-Research Tri-Council Secretariat. Stéphane Castonguay is a member of the Centre interuniversitaire d'études québécoises and a membre of the steering committee of the Network in Canadian History and Environment http://niche-canada.org/
